Going to Julies was always an exciting prospect. And no, not just becuase she was the only auntie who had Sky when i was growing up (maybe a bit) but also becuase of the sheer amount of potential fun that could be had.

Board games, art projects, watching Bottom live vhs’ that i probably shouldnt have been watching etc. She let me blast Metallica out of her fancy speakers and never grow weary of me asking her to watch me air guitar while jumping off the sofa.

She could seemingly draw anything you requseted and always had an inexhaustable supply of chocolate…that might have had something to do with the jumping off furniture.

I never once saw her lose her patience and to me seemed incredibly non judgemental. She taught me alot in that respect…while probably letting me get away with more than i should, but then again thats what good aunties are for. 

She was an incredibly positive influence on me growing up and ill forever be grateful for her kind words of encourgement in my musical persuits. Oh and the cheeky beer tokens she would throw me every now and then after giving me last minute lifts in one of the many little Westonmobile hatchbacks.
